View Full Version : So Tony is finally going is he
Tony is going to resigning today. 10 years on, what did he achieve?
1. A failing health service that has had 9 major over hauls that has cost billions, with nothing really changing apart from new managers who's only job is finding new ways to spin figures. The most ever spent in history and nothing better.
2. Education, Education, Education, yet more billions extra spent and yet children are leaving school not ready for work, angry, turning to crime.
3. The destruction of many millions of people pensions (maybe one of the great un talked about crimes he has committed) Leaving many millions of hard working people much worse off. When all the did was try and save for their retirement.
4. Crime levels like never before, with the worse crimes that people are scared off like assault up. But yet again with the millions he spent all he achieved was bogging down police with hours of paper work and new managers to spin the figures while we all know how Britain has really become a worse place to live.
5. Illegal Immigration, on whole he has managed to increase illegal immigration, without any real controls in place, people can see it is without control and this has caused major increases in hostility between races, increased racist attacks. He has failed to show how immigration is a benefit to us and because people cant see any control on it, this has lead to even people who believe in Immigration in being unable to defend it. How can we defend what we know is out of control. The solution to this is that he will now text them when its time for them to leave.
6. Increased segregation between races and religions, with moderate Muslims turning to extremists as they are so disenfranchised with Britain.
7. He has made the whole world hate us for the many illegal wars he has taken us to. At the same time as starting more wars than any other PM in modern history, he has strangled funds to the military. Disbanding great regiments that I will never forgive him for.
8. Almost certainly he is the PM that has caused the break up of the Union, with Scotland and Wales turning to Nationalist parties. This with out a doubt will be his greatest legacy. If the Union breaks up he will go down in history as the worse ever Prime Minister, the rot started here.
9. Has had an all out attack on small businesses, the very people who start businesses, create jobs, create money have been targeted by the good old socialists. Who have returned to the "tax the rich to till they bleed brigade"
10. Has made spin into an art forum, where in every walk of life, spin and media manipulation has taken over substance and results. As long as he can worm out of it using lies and spin, it doesn't matter that he has failed us.
So 10 years on. Britain is a worse place to live, we pay more tax than ever before, services are worse, there is more hate crimes, more intolerance, we are hated around the world and the US's puppy dog. The world is less stable than any time in history and so is Britain.
This is your Legacy Tony. I hope you are proud

The only problem is that he is probably being replaced with someone who has helped him and supported him on everything he has done.
A potential Scottish PM just at the time when it looks like the Scottish have rejected the Union and the Labour party for ever

Well he managed to destroy what was the Labour party..
we now have political parties simply trying to do what they need to get elected and not sticking to their left, right or centre policies
Political hypocrisy really winds me up... We need a leader who will stick to what he believes in not what is popular..

Was there an option of paying £9 and taking a plane that sends out more Carbon?
It is no where near warm enough yet this spring, unless we start burning serious fossel fuels, we will end up with a gloomy summer :(

At the end of the day, Tony Bliar was a terrible prime minister. However, Gordon Brown is going to be ten times worse and i think we might even have a state of emergency. David Cameron will be elected and sort out this mess labour have left.

The thing that worries me really is that David Cameron doesn't seem like he could sort out a piss up in a brewery let alone put right the things Tony has got wrong.

That's what worries me to :(
I've just decided there should be country-wide street parties on 27th of June, the likes of which haven't been seen since Charles married Diana. (I was 10 and it was great fun in our street with table's end to end along the whole road and everyone supplying some food and wearing red white and blue).
Let's celebrate getting rid of the lying toad, and send a message to the rest of the world that we're glad to be rid of him. (Although they'd probably try to spin it to make out the country is celebrating Tony's time).
Yes I know what's coming in is probably worse. But let's deal with that the next day.
I wish Portillo would come back. I was convinced he would be the next tory PM, and I still think he's the one with the strength and charisma the party needs to counter-act Tony and his cronies and lead the country forward.

I remember the street parties, they were great, plus I still have my commemorative coins and stamps.
I was never keen on Portillo, I couldnt trust him. Plus I think Anne Widdecombe is the nuts and she doesnt trust him.
But over the last couple of years he has grown on me.

As a young conservative I went to Portillos inauguration dinner when he became and MP. He was the nuts and should have been the Tory leader for sure.... never too late for a comeback though! :innocent0001:

I'm not sure that the SNP getting 33% of the vote can really be called the Scottish rejecting the union.

Ken Clarke would have made a good Tory leader. He smoked cigars, I think we need a PM who smokes cigars.

I think that is a pretty huge rejection, considering it is really a party with only one aim. So all that 33% are pretty clear they want a seperation. Where as the others voted on other issues, I bet a fair proportion of those also would be in favour.
But the Scots were not voting on independance. If they were there well may have been a much larger percentage. All the indications are that the majority would vote for independance. There have been lots of pols that support that.
52% to 35% in this ICM poll, just last year

The Scottish Vote was a shambles, the amount of papers that were rejected was ridiculous - that could very well have swayed the decision in Labours favour or could have boosted SNPs numbers - there was only one seat difference between the two parties.
I watched the news where some places were chucking over 1000 papers away, that is unacceptable!

I totally agree with you, ive always been a portillo fan but i guess he thought the party would never accept him. The tories are dead cert to get in next time after a couple of years of gordon brown and his socialist views.
I didn't really like Portillo the first time round but he kinda softened on TV and I saw him in Euston station one time so he's still keeping it real.
The Tories need someone better than Cameron, everything's just a reaction to Labour at the moment... maybe Portillo should come back.

On royal wedding day I went with my mates to a free outdoor gig in Crystal Palace called "Fuck The Royal Wedding". I remember Ian Dury and UB40 were among the bands playing, possibly the Specials too... then we went to watch the official fireworks in Hyde Park. :)
