View Full Version : eBay helps you get into debts
eBay Germany teams up with GE Money Bank and offers loans (http://gemb.ebay.de/odcs/custom.htm?template=1_1_1) from 500 to 25k EUR, interest starts at 5.5%, so the bidder can buy stuff they haven't got the money at hand for.
considering all the idiots that get into debts by ordering too much shit from catalogues, this is an awesome move, really. :onguard:

The mrs somehow managed to rack up £1000's on the catalogues back along .... when I found out I paid them off & banned the fuckers from the house ... what a load of old cunt.
edit - load of old cunt = the catalogues, not the mrs. just to clarify like.

More people buying stuff they dont need and cant afford from people who are reselling it after they realise they cant afford it and dont need it and so are reselling it on ebay
there is one more group of sellers. they buy stuff cheap on ebay and resell it shortly after for a higher price. :D
did so on a very small scale once.
i know someone who actually runs Excel sheets on that, makes notes of the products he deals with. he claims it's a constant up and down, many items are offered, price drops, this is when he buys some - a few weeks later, when everything on the market has been bought again, he drops it back in and gets a higher price. he does it with certain items only, like Libretto sub-notebooks.
since he didn't really have a job in years yet has money, i would assume it works.

Maybe he runs porn sites in his spare time & the eBay trading is just a front ;)

nope. we keep bugging him to do some adult related work, like photographing, as he does quite some nice work for fun, but he's such a fucking dreamer. comes up with ideas left right and centre and never pulls anything off. he does listen to us telling him stuff though, with great interest. guess regular work just isn't for him. :D
and you know there will be a ton of peeps doing this, we are not happy unless we are in debt....but Ebay will not be getting a dime from me nor will I apply for a loan from them....
