If your rich, you can get away wqith all sorts. ie if you have a company you can steal millions from people such as those phone in competitions.
Its almost weekly that you hear of a firm clealy comiting criminal acts but getting away with it.
But if your poor its speed tickets, asbos, and so on.
Its interesting to watch those police shows. Often police arrest people simply as they look like they have not much cash and thus by definition criminal.
I never see somone with an expensive car get pulled even if they are driving dangeresly.

Yeah, all speed cameras are now linked directly to the Inland Revenue to check how much you earn before they take a picture!?

Was it ever different ? Read your history and you'd see that that the egalatarian society is a myth and even if you accepted we have a democracy you'd see its at most no older than 90 years.
Throughout history its always been the same - but never mind - one day us Marxists will rise up again and grind the rich into the dirt. Forced labour camps for anyone with more than £5 in the bank :)

It's always been the way matey, the richer you are the easier it is. A classic example is the hunting debate, cock-fighting, bear baiting, dog-fighting were all made illegal in the 19th Century, as they were (rightfully) seen as barbaric, they also attracted large crowds, which scared the bejeezus out of the rich as they thought the peasants might get a bit uppity and do over the less numerous ruling classes.
It wasn't until only a few years back we managed to get their barbaric bloodsport made illegal.
So, one law for them and one law for us, yeah, but a speeding fine to someone on the minimum wage hurts a lot more than if you were on a grand a week.
<<<another Marxist!
The rich pay more tax to pay for the police, its only fair they get let off more isnt it? :fighting0097:

Regardless of your income you shouldn't be speeding so that is a pointless argument......:geek:

Sorry you're in the wrong thread, this is about poor people and rich people. Fifty grand is not rich, not anywhere fucking near it. :P
If you read the boards, behind the lines, you very quickly see where some people are coming from.
Yes the rich people have lawyers who get them off things. They also have big houses, cars and go to nice places for holidays.
