View Full Version : One month no re-bills..
A lot of people are anti the 30 day no re-bill..
If you don't have it on your sites then add it. I've just looked at some sales figures and a lot of these sign up's come back a few months later to download the last updates.. One has been doing this for almost a year and a couple have even come back through the affiliate they signed up with the fiirst time... LOL.
Charge $5 more and it saves on chargebacks from the idiots who forget to cancel..

This is a good point, Joe - I have been doing this for a very long time and I know sgs does, too - Certainly, they do come back and very often they buy a longer period -

OK call me dumb here but are we saying rebills over single joins - I'm interested to explore this sublect a lot further if anyone has time
Paul
We are saying the reverse.. A lot more surfers are going for one month no re-bill than re-billing these days even if it costs $5 more. This way they won't forget to cancel.

I'd only do it if it was significantly more expensive than the re-bill option. The way I look at it is, if a member is going to get full access for the lowest price option: say $20-30, I'll only let him do it as a re-bill. If he cancels fine, but not all do, and it's this that pushes up the average sale price. For a non-rebill option I'd rather offer a good value 90 access: say $30-45. This appeals to members who don't like re-bills and again this option pushes up the average sale price over a 30 day non-rebill. I also see lots of 90 day re- subscription from members who realize this is the cheapest overall option. That's fine with me, so long as the avarage sale price is as high as can be for the given site and it's content. I never offer trials or discounts, they suck ass.
Well that's me anyway :drink:

Ok I get you, its great for the owners bad for the affiliates :(
I know people who retain users by having one movie that only appears once in a month - they list the up and coming movies and this helps keep users rebilling as they dont want to miss the one off film.
The only other way the surfer can then purchase a film that has been and gone is via PPV which works out far more costly. A logistical nightmare but a very effective tool in keeping people rebilling :)

Im with you on that.

yep I agree, its a good way of program owners not to end up paying affiliates for rebills. What incentive is there for a surfer to take the rebill option if they can choose the none rebill option?
I like Joe and his program, but he is the only program I use to have this option. It seems loads of his surfers take the no rebill option, where as all my other programs they take the rebill option. If joes program was something I relied on, I'd wonder how many rebills he was getting that I wasnt getting paid for

Yes maybe. But the affiliate wont get the credit will he
