it creates traffic that someone has to pay for. take all the spam off the net, i bet some services would find themselves in trouble, if they didn't get the money for that traffic anymore.

who pays for the traffic? receivers of spam and owners of 'zombie' PCs/servers used to send the spam out mostly. again money that flows into ISP pockets.

so why would anyone think that there is actual interest in the right places to fight spam properly?

I have never wondered why so many get their knickers in a knot over spam.
We all get spam through the door everyday (well guite a few) but all we do is bin it, so why make such a fuss about online spam.

As far as spam I used to get upset with all that I was getting but it is an uphill battle as we know. I just don't get upset anymore. If I did there wouldn't be enough hours in the day to ball about how much I am getting. I just delete it and move, so many should do the same. you can't blame people for trying to make a living......

spam is here to stay ... but what annoys me most of all is the shit loads of spam I get addressed to addys I signed up to sponsors with ...... wantboobs & platinum bucks I'm looking in your direction ... :mad:

funnily enough, i don't recall any spam to accounts used for sponsor signups. praised be Mailwasher, maybe? :D

I dont get any anymore - just kill the mailbox when it starts getting abused too much. Generally fuck the sponsor off at the same time unless its one that im doing particularly OK with.
