View Full Version : ccbill gripe
So, I get booted from a program due to 'click inactivity', but still see affiliate newsletters from the program that kicked me. I assume these are sent via ccbill's admin rather than the program owner's own database?
Now, what if also, I signed up expressly to refer other webmasters, on a ccbill sponsor page? With this program, I didn't, but it'd be nice to know if you are sending webmasters rather than surfers, and got booted for whatever reason, do those webmasters I referred, and are making sales, still pass a %age over to me? I'd assume no?
As a side note, wtf is up with the way ccbill has started ordering sponsors, by their program ID - is it really that hard to do it alphabetically? At least previous to this change I'd remember roughly which point I signed up, and could scroll to the general area of the page to pinpoint the sponsor I wanted, rather than having to read every fucking thing on the page.
a program using ccbill booted you off for inactivity? How odd.
They could be sending you the newsletter from their ccbill admin, thats what I do. But they have an option to pick active webmasters only to send it to

Yeah I think the owner is a bit of a wanker :)
Why the fuck has cc bill not cleared that particular account and all that goes with it, after the sponsor canned me is my main gripe :(

is it odd for a programme owner to boot out an affilite who sends no traffic..??
I know someone who does it as a matter of course
One thing about ccbill admin sending newsletters...why every time when i try and send a newsletter to our affilites using this method do i get thousands of returned e-mails and accused of spamming.. ?

If its costing you nothing to have them why would you boot them out? Who knows what they may be building? I personally dont have time to sit and watch affiliates who send no traffic, Id rather spend my time looking at those who do.
Ive signed up to programs in the past who had something I wanted, then not sent anything else for over a year, but then I started a new project and would include what that sponsor had again. Do it all the time, Ive never been kicked off a program because of it because its not costing the program anything for me to be there.

Maybe he isnt using the CCBill admin, but using his own program

One way of cutting that down is only using the "active webmasters" option not the "to all" option. I never get complaints and not many returned now thats all I do.
Well this particular program I was never going to send traffic to after checking the tour, and we both knew this, so I didn't have a problem with getting removed in this instance, it's the poxy emails that are getting on my wick.
I'm sure he will remove me if I ask him, and he is using his own rather than ccbill's list, but it'd be nice to hear from a rep as to why I am getting them if he isn't.

Interesting. Sponsors can boot affiliates but affiliates can't boot sponsors.

Yeah it'd be nice to clear up my affiliate area. Maybe if we turn this into a list-your-ccbill-gripe thread, a ccbill rep may listen and make notes. Or at the very least, it'd turn into the longest thread of the year :D

I just put my entire affiliates free content area behind a password that I approve or not. We automatically approved all those who sent a sign up in the last 6 months and told anyone else that they need to mail me and ask me to approve them.
Some of those who mailed me are just starting to send traffic, so got approved, one was not sending any traffic and on checking I found he had the wrong affiliate code in his links. So he will get paid now.
But a few asked to be approved who had sent 6 to 20 raw clicks in 6 months. Some did not have working adult URLs, some did not even promote me, some had no email connected to their site and the email and name on the Whois did not match theirs. One was using my content to promote other sites.
Will I keep mailing the ones who can't get into the content area?
To right I will, I need to see if these guys want to start promoting me, I need to remind them of what they're missing.
I need to stop surfers accessing the content by signing up to the affiliates area and I need to be reminding them of what $30 gets them.
I need to make as much money as I can to pay the other affiliates.
Should CCBILL have an option to turn yourself off? Take it up with them. Will I stop sending mail if asked? Yes.
You could always put the sponsors email address on your blocked list.
You cock....
It's you that is sending me the spam shit.

Obviously, I wasn't going to say anything, but seeing as how you threw that dick of yours out into the open, and educated everyone on just how many inches you have, I'll take the opportunity to remind everyone of just what a spamming cunt you really are. FFS... you can't even shut the fuck up when it's handed to you.
Jeez to fuck....

I will let you into a secret, so listen closely.
Return the email with the words DELETE in the subject line.
Did you get that?
I kick affiliates out who don't send me chocolates. Cunts.

I kick out the guys like Jel who send 4 hits and tell me I don't have a clue. LOL
To be fair I thought I deleted him from the list on CCBILL ages ago and we only use our mailing program and getting the list from CCBILL fresh every time we mail out. So maybe CCBILL does not take them off the mailing list when a merchant deletes them. Maybe Jel knows as he knows so much.
Maybe he will send us his email address and we can sort it out, or maybe he will not and just gripe about it on a board.

If you click on the words "Program Name" at the top of the column it will order your sponsors in alphabetical order.

You know what you are dead right. I thought it was on the footer, sure it used to be the same footer as the content store. It will be in future.
Guess you have to make it real simple for people like Jel.

The problem is how do you know it's a real affiliate and how do you know it's a surfer?
Some have even got URLs linked to paysites. Cost a few bucks a year to do that and gets you access to every sponsors free content who does not look at who sends traffic. Some of the sites I saw had my content for other paysites. Many affiliates, active and not are on free mail addresses. So I'm left with joins and traffic to make a decision.
Or maybe the "Too much free content on the Net" brigade mean. Too much of other peoples free content and for fucks sake don't try to stop me getting into what I choose to, even if it means 100 surfers a day getting in there as well.
You either say let the free content flow or try to curb it. I tried to curb it and as usual the trolls are out in force.
