View Full Version : Support Terrorists?
No not me, but when that Brazillian was shot and I was asking "what if" some were getting their knickers in a knot. I was told that wearing a padded jacket in a heat wave, wearing a ruck sack, jumping the ticket barrier, not stopping when 7 armed police tell you to all give good reason for the police to kill an innocent man.
So now it turns out that: he wasn't wearing a padded jacket (and it wasn't a heat wave), he didn't have a rucksack on, he never jumped the ticket barrier and he was never ordered to stop by 7 armed police.
See :onguard:

They should have stopped him before he entered the tube... but because one officer was taking a whizz or having a wank, they missed him leaving his building.
And 7 shots, or 8 shots was far too many in my opinion ;)

Yeah if they had reason to believe he was a sucide bomber, they left it WAY too late to take him down.
Actually though, if they did seriously believe he had a bomb on him, the only thing they did correctly was to completely turn his head to paste by shooting him 7 times at point blank range. It's standard operational procedure for an armed officer to aim for the head and fire without warning if he suspects someone of being a sucide bomber. Warnings and non-lethal wounds could cause the bomber to detonate his payload. In that situation you want your target instantly dead. Scary shit.

agree 100% I find it amazing that they think this a guy is a terrorist so much that they shoot him 7 times in the head, but they Let him leave the house, walk to the bus stop, get on a bus where a bomb has already been set off, stay on the bus and travel to the tube station, enter the tube station, go down to the platform, stand on the platform, get on the fucking train, before they did anything.
At no point prior to this did they decide to stop him?
It would be nice if we would have managed, to at least make sure, the first victim of the shoot policy would have been a terrorist.

I refer to your latest discharge of plebeian verbiage; in which, you have proven, once again, that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense. Rumor has it that you are almost incomprehensible in person (as revealed by your desperate urge to babble nonsensically on message boards.) No doubt, this rumor is true. It seems your fingers not only did your typing, but did your thinking too.
you two knob crunchers still wont explain and avoid all threads asking you why you think the cops did it and what you think in their situation they should have done.
Untill you can do more than just critisize, then I suggest you two lumps of excrement
In conclusion, sit down and shut up before trip over your own tongue and hurt yourself.

the important point is, not all shots hit the head, and that from this short distance. had he carried a bomb, it would have blown up anyway.

The 8th shot went in his shoulder. From what I've seen of suicide bombers, the explosives are usually carried around the waist or stomach.
I'm not an expert on explosives, but everyone assumes that shooting an explosive would set it off - is that always the case? Doesn't it depend on what explosive compound is being used? Maybe some can only be detonated by an electrical charge, or by fire. As far as I know, a standard bullet only delivers kinetic rather than electrical or incendiary energy.

the reports on that keep changing. mind the original ones said 5 shots to the head, which was explained with having to take him out so he cannot blast the bomb he prolly carries and the head shots with not hitting the bomb to avoid detonating it. so that argument is a police one. ;)
now we are up 8 shots (so far :D ) and at least one did not hit his head at all but the body they never wanted to hit. supposedly..

The strange thing about this whole affair is the huge differences in what has been leaked out now and the comments made to journalists by eye witnesses at the scene right after the incident.
The guy was bowled over by officers as he entered the carriage (He was sat down till an officer pinned his arms)
He was wearing a heafty jacket (Wasn't wearing anything resembling that at all)
He looked Asian (Didn't even look Mexican - Could have easily passed for a Cornish guy)
he was shot 3-4 times (Shot 8 times)
ANY courtcase now relying on "eye witnesses" has a fair chance of failing if the defence team use the above as an example of how fragile an eye witnesses can be.

wait a second. weren't the police guys blowing his brains out right there, at the scene?
should they not have seen he had no bulky coat on? how can they have been right about the bulky coat then?
should they not have felt the lack of heat? how can they have been right about the heat wave then?
should they not have seen he wasn't running? and if they haven't had their eyes on him when he was supposed to be running, how could they know they were shooting the 'right' guy, especially as he didn't have the supposedly bulky coat on? how can they have been right about a running that never happened?

Fucking amazing how much eye witnesses got it wrong. It all looks to me like from the very begining the police have tried to soften the blow, by releasing bit by bit the actual story.
Wouldnt supprise me if the "eye witnesses" where not members of the public at all
according to a BBC report the tube station staff denies that any of the CCTV cams was not operating, but state the police took the tapes/disks and returned them cos 'they are blank'

Could be something synister, but could also be the complete and utter incompetance of anything to do with the transport system in this country

I bet they wouldn't have been blank had it been a pick pocket or someone putting their hand up a girls skirt.
didn't make any judgement, as we all just rely on info that is handed to us and appears to be rather 'flexible' should we say.
if i was responsible for the CCTV, i wouldn't wanna be blamed for not working equipment and in the long run maybe face someone claiming they got mugged or worse and it's not been recorded cos i fucked up the CCTV. mind that all of the cams must have been out of order, to not grasp anything of the incident. which is a spectacular display of bad luck.
I bet they wouldn't have been blank had it been a pick pocket or someone putting their hand up a girls skirt.
Are we talking about the same incompetant public transport system that stops the trains when its too sunny, to rainy, too snowey or if there happens to be too many leaves on the line in Autum?
I'm willing to believe the police cover stuff up. I have seen it with my own eyes, I can assure people they do. Ive also been in a possition of being able to see big corruption from the police, including taking huge hand outs to get someone bail, which infact he never got.
But that said, I have no more confidence in the public transport and in the people working in the public transport who may be covering their own incompetance

Agree with that - if you're shooting to kill, then kill him. The question is how you decide who deserves killing. One point they haven't mentioned much is that the suspect was black (Ethiopian) but they killed a white guy! Now that's not careful targetting IMHO.
