Has ccbill got problems today?

I have a heap of rebills that haven't - Sales through the floor -
Had a similar problem like this some years back when all of a sudden tonnes of sales and rebills all registered at the same time -
Anyone having similar slow sales today or have heard of any ccbill issues?

No issues here but its more than likely the usual database backlog probs. Look daily and not hourly :)

Had a bit of a glut of sign ups earlier on both sites, and then a ridiculous amount of denials in the space of about 10 minutes. My money's on a database burp

Hi,

Do you ever get the following error when running a CCbill report?

"Error Error: A server error occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience "

We get it alot on the total members report.

But occasionally we get this intermitently for hours on the daily transaction summary.

The funny thing is, when it happens on the transaction summary report, our new sales seem to dip.

CCBill says it's purely coincidence.

So I just wondered if anyone has seen anything similar?

I must just add, I have not been getting it today, and our signups and rebills seem a little low, but about the norm.

There has to be something wrong - Just had denials in with "submitted too many times today" But I have no records of any earlier attempts

Just had the fucking same -

I have one site that normally makes a shitload of sale and X ten for rebills currently sitting on zero - Not bad for a site like that! (Stats show about 40 search engine searches for the site - They are 60% hit and signup at a min.
Other sites sales are quite normal - And yes, I have checked all links etc and can find no problems at all.

Just to follow-up on this from the other side of the equation, my click-throughs dropped 40% yesterday.

I believe it means they've tried to submit the card to CCBill too many times today - so they've probably signed up for another site or two.

Just being nosey :)

How many of you have more than one processor ? There have been moans for years of bad days with CCBill but do you have a secondary ? I've been with CCBill for over 6 years. I've met a few of the staff and I love them and their support but I started using other processors due to the number of denials to see what would happen a year or so ago. The results apart from when Global Charge were processing are crap in comparison.

I have Clear Card on 3 of my pay sites and they make 1 sign up every two weeks between them.

I'm one of the EU beta testers for Paycom and the results aren't brilliant with them so far. I hoped that as they accept Switch and Solo they would immediately replace Global but :(

NoChex also accounts for about 2 signups a month :(

Also.... How many of you have your own merchant account ?

Finding a decent secondary processor isn't easy nowadays - I would have gone to Paycom, to, but dealing with their rep was getting hard work - I used to use globill (Send all declines to the globill sign up form upon denial, and they were very good until they went under)
Verotel should be the euro webmasters choice - But that company has the inept reputation it thoroughly deserves.
When Sypro went under, I joined ccbill - I think they only opened their doors for business 2-3 days prior to that so several hundred Sypro webmasters joining them the same time gave them a good start -
Barring KimmyKim's time there and her descision not to let me have the logs of the sunnydollars guys hacking my web stats, I have had no problems with them - Sure some days declines are high and I think the trend is a rising number likewise for rebill failures - This is down to people spending more on porn and getting into card debt I think - Could also be due to the 2% cb limits - (I am at 0.01% and do think ccbill's policy of working a across the board average wrong as I am penalized for some cunt on 4% cb).
Yesterday was strange as I has so many denials which came in as 2 lump sums to my email box and therefore my sales for the day were really at record lows - 40% of my rebills failed too -
Today? Sales are totally through the roof - I hope this pattern is not going to stay because it ain't so kind to my old heart!

As for merchant account - I can get one easily in the uk because my sites are nn tease mostly and to get through the regs, I would remove anything nude from my servers - It is something I have been cosidering for a while and a mate who does similar stuff to me is set up and has all the papers for me ready to go!
As for getting one here in Poland - Wouldn't consider paying tax here (standard tax is 21% and insurance is 42 or 3 % - I would be on a much higher rate - Could set up a company but the paperwork? No way!)

We use CCBill and have accounts with several other processors used as back-up in the past with exactly the same results interestingly.

Cardinal..

We made the same move... March'ish 1999 Sypro went under. I started with them because while surfing it seemed that a few UK pay sites were with them so I thought that they had to be ok... They went and my original contact as CCBill back then was Craig.. My acct is 900433 and I know there are others still around with lower acct #'s to me but from what I gather.. Not many :)

We're using EpochEU as our primary processor on our NATS cascade. They rock. The rep I went through is great - Anthony Wheatle. Try him if you're having probs, and tell him I sent ya. Someone else I know is getting signed up thru him and they told me he's really helpful.

My ccbill acc is 900324 - I guess I was one of the lucky guys that got in pretty quickly ove that debacle - I spoke directly to Mark in those days - (Corvette)
I got hit pretty hard by Sypro = They phoned me on the Tuesday and asked me to speak to my bank to get the wire returned as they had sent me the wrong one - !
My losses go like this:
1st) Golden Texas - 10K
2) Drm - Close to 20k
3) Sypro - Had over 1000 recurring members - Work that one out!
4) Lancelot - Less than 500$
5) Globill - 35k in outstanding cash and, like sypro, over 1000 recurring members -
6) Several avs systems -
7) Sunnydollars screwing my business - (count the above and times it tenfold)
Didn't get too much time to speak to you when I met you in London - Shame really because I think it looks like we go back a long way!

OUCH !!!!!

I've been lucky and have only been caught by Sypro and Digiblaze.. You mean you never got to use Digibalze. From what I have since found out Digiblaze was formed from DRM and that one of the guys then went on to IBill. It looks like you've tried the rest. I looked at Lancelot before chooing Sypro as I couldn't be bothered to jump through hoops, like sending a copy of my passport in those days, though I had to for Epoch/Paycom.

I signed up for Globill but never got to use them as they went under as I was getting set up.

When you're next over let me know... It was noisy that night at the Global Charge.. who when they stopped processing paid us the lot.. Party in association with Richard I think

When drm went under - All due to cybererotica and their "free" trial which cost 40$, I sort of wondered what would happen next and yes, you are right about Digibalze and Ibill being off-shoots - I was warned off about ever using both!
Going back to Sypro - It was a shame that went under - The wb board there was by far and away the best learning school about this industry I have ever seen. Except for a couple of guys there, everybody was more than willing to help each other with tips and hints - It is a shame the company was so under-funded that as soon as a few cb's came in, they buckled -
Yes - The party in London was loud - Ears are still ringing now!

Edit to add -
Been threatening to come back soon! Just bought another house and after a large piece of ground for an out-of-adult biz I have planned, so pretty tied at the moment - But hoping to get back sometime this year

IBill were going before CCBill .. But one of the DRM guys started Digiblaze then went on to Ibill who I would never have used as they were total arseholes back in 2001.

One of their reps got me after I'd been on the CCbill stand at the Jan 2001 Internext. He'd seen me shouting just a little at them about missing checks and the fact that their FD had forgotten to bring a replacement to the show with him and it was from that scream I formed a close friendship with the CCBill team... They thought I was a total nutter to scream at them in public... LOL.

The guy from IBill said I should use them. I told him that their own dumb system wouldn't accept my UK post code and so I couldn't go anywhere that used them. He gave me his card and told me to email him when I got back to London. I did this and he said to get him on ICQ. Ten seconds later I messaged him and he had no idea who I was... DUH. All I can say is, I couldn't sign up anywhere that used IBill for another year.. So yeah I was running to use them on my own sites.. LOL
