well shooting content will be.
if smoking in public or workplace in a few months becomes illigall, how can you shoot the content legally? in theory you cannot. unless the model is happy being filmed commiting a criminal act.

Well, certain areas will be excempt, such as smoking rooms in hotels. So as long as you shoot the content there, you should be fine location wise.
but ....
If you're employing someone to smoke, could they sue you for putting their health at risk, or would you need a disclaimer.

that may not be true about certain places being exsempt, as it turns out even private members clubs will not be excempt.
and if you are doing a shoot, this becomes a work area, and as such is illigall.

No, we got an info pack from the welsh assembly, well two actually, one in english and another in some strange language.
Hotels will be allowed to have smoking rooms and you will be allowed to smoke in your own home office as long as members of the public don't go in there.

hmm if you shoot in the photographers house its not a public building or office therefore should be ok to shoot. As someone said they would need to sign something to say they are aware of risks etc and are ok with it.

No, its a workplace.
As such no one can smoke.
They were talking about this on working lunch today. if you missed it, watch it on broadband. even if you are in a car, its an offence to smoke with another work person with you.
But clearly if the shoot is work related (which it is) then it will not be leagal.

Hmm im sure if all adults consent to smoking i dont see how they can stop you in your house as long as something is signed by everyone in the place.

If it's illegal, sale will increase :) same as with the content which was produced in Austria some time ago, every time you had a pissing scene in it, because it was illegal there and they could sell better if it's in.

It will not be illegal to have a smoking site, DVT is talking about where to shoot it. Smoking is not illegal where you smoke will be.
Ok lets say it is illegal for the reason DVT has said, then they will have to prove where it was shot. You could say you shot it in outer mongolia, sure the the onus of proof will be on the authorities.
What DV is saying is that by default will be illegal, because the girl is at work. But looks like that wont effect anyone anyway if the artistic integrity of the performance makes it appropriate for them to smoke like the theatre, films etc then its OK. I'd say a smoking site needs the performer smoking

Whats the definition of work?
Anyway that bollocks is more about theartres cos the public are allowed in. I could also seeing it being applied to a film ot TV set because of the amount of crew.

I think it could if you are paying her. But it looks like that makes no difference as if you are making a smoking film, then smoking is integral in the performance so it wouldnt be illegal
