View Full Version : Epoch services
i'd like to put forward a few questions, if you don't mind:
1. i understand that using the MPA3 version epoch provides, one can use cascading billing using other services such as ccbill, as long as epoch is the first in that cascade?
2. how does the webmaster signup process appear to your average future affiliate? will they see it's not a 'full version' of MPA3, thus branding the user of your service as 'cheap' - or is that side of the interface the same as the usual MPA3's?
3. if one was to use your services, what info does one get about the surfer? for example: will there be notifications of failed signups, giving one a chance to contact the surfer to offer other sites to check out?
4. if one was to use an own MPA3 installation at a later point in time, will the user data be transferable, or will it be stuck with epoch, thus forcing the client to start from scratch?
5. do all affiliates using epoch now have their accounts merged and so recieve one cheque for all their sponsors who use epoch? and if/once this is enabled, will that allow to merge epoch payments of sponsors who only use epoch and sponsors that use epoch's MPA3 system?

1. That is correct. We will cascade to other processors as long as we're the primary.
2. Not exactly sure what you mean. Our version IS a full version. The only thing we restrict is using it to upload content which is because of 2257 compliance. Our version allows multiple affiliate sign ups using one name and password. You won't get that anywhere else.
3. Please be clear what you're looking for exactly. We have all information available. We won't hide anything from you except the credit card info.
4. Are you asking about reseller codes or rebills?
5. We give the program owner the ability to pay PPS or secondary themselves or through Epoch. If you want Epoch to pay out affiliate through other billers we require that you have money in your account. You can upload it or cut us a check for that.
@CosmicTang
Can you please answer on my PM?
Thanks

1. thanks.
2. by 'full' version i meant it wouldn't be installed on the clients' servers but yours. obviously that's an assumption. please correct me if i'm wrong there.
3. thanks. that cleared it up already. the thought was you might keep relevant details, seeing it's your system and all. obviously that's not happening.
4. i'm asking, if i went and got an own licence for MPA3 after having used yours for some time, could i just have a copy of the database of members that signed up while using your installation or would i have to leave that running and start from scratch, so basically have two interfaces to work with, until the last rebill runs out?
5. i was asking from an affiliate's POV. IIRC it has been mentioned in previous posts that Epoch will - similar to CCBill - allow affilates to merge payments from various Epoch sponsors into one payout. will that be working with Epoch exclusive sponsors only or also those that use MPA3 through you?

2. Our version is a hosted version, yes.
4. Yes. If you get your own license you can certainly migrate all the data over. No problem whatsoever.
5. If the merchant has the money in the account we'll cut one check to the affiliate unless the merchant wants to write their own checks for whatever reason.

2. so back to the original question, would the affiliate notice a difference in the sign up process, or are they working with the same interface as they would if the Epoch client used their own MPA3 install?
4. + 5. excellent, thanks.

there would be a difference between our hosted version and a licensed version. Ours has our own skin and the labeling is our own.
Functionally they'd be the same, you'd have to adjust for different looks and verbiage.
thanks for taking the time to answering all the questions. :)

Ok just for the slow ones like me and a few extra questions-
1.if you have an affiliate that has made both sales trough epoch AND ccbill (secondary) and if that sponsor has sufficient funds in ther account, epoch will pay the affiliate the two amounts?
2.When affiliates sign up, do ALL sales get listed under one account/thingy - ie. It doesnt get split into epoch sales and ccbill sales - it lists all sales under the one listing.
Ok if I think of anymore Ill spit it out :d

1. Yes.
2. The affiliate won't see a difference, but the webmaster can choose the setting. Either all sales or broken down by processor.
Out of interest what are the list of other approved processors that you can have in the cascade?
